BCS TRACTORS

Model 739 (PS)

The PowerSafe model 739 features the coveted third working speed, giving owners increased operating efficiency with a faster, 2.7 MPH mowing speed.

In addition to its three forward and three reverse speeds, the 739 also features turn-on-a-dime maneuverability with Differential Drive with Lockout. As with all PowerSafe models, the 739 does not have a transport speed.

The 739 features the same engine as the BCS model 732: a Honda GX340, available in recoil or electric start.

The 739’s PowerSafe clutch differs from standard models by utilizing a hydro-mechanical, “wet” clutch instead of the spring-loaded, double-cone clutch. This clutch is more difficult to overheat because it’s in an oil bath and cooled by circulated oil instead of air, as on the standard clutch. It’s also better suited for implements requiring higher torque, such as the Flail Mower or Chipper/Shredder. The PowerSafe clutch is longer-lasting, backed by a five-year warranty for non-commercial users. It also gives operators smoother shifting, safer operation, and immediate stoppage when the clutch lever is released.

Batteries not included for electric start tractors.

Model 620 Max

The BCS model 620 differs from the rest of the BCS tractor fleet because it’s designed for front-mount attachments only. This means the handlebars don’t rotate 180 degrees and can’t operate any rear-mount attachments like the Tiller or Rotary Plow.

Model 620 is for applications where only front-mount attachments are desired, and it offers versatility with the ability to attach various mowers, snow implements, and blades. With three working speeds and one transport speed, the 620 offers an appropriate speed for every application. The only limitations are that the straight axle design limits its maneuverability and the 8hp engine limits the size of the mowers that can be accommodated.

  • Perfect for mowing applications.
  • No rotating handlebars.
  • Engine: Honda GX240
  • Weight: 260 lbs.
  • Working Speeds: 3 forward, 3 reverse

  • Clutch Type: Double Cone, Spring-Loaded

Harvester Model 710

You’ll notice the 710’s handlebars differ from other BCS models. A simpler BCS design is utilized to adjust the handlebars, which lacks anti-vibration and the ease of adjustment found on larger BCS models. It may not have all the bells and whistles that larger BCS models can claim, but its all-gear driven transmission, automotive-style clutch and versatile attachment options make it far superior to competitive tiller brands.

Another difference in the 710 from other BCS models is the Subaru SP170 engine (5.5 HP). Subaru has established itself as a more-than-suitable alternative to Honda small engines, and comes with a standard 3-year warranty.

NEW! Model 710 is now offered with a Subaru EX27 engine (9 HP), increasing its versatility while maintaining a lower price! The 710 9HP has the same attachment compatibility as model 722.

  • All Gear Drive

Harvester Model 718

The BCS Harvester 718 is similar to the 722, with the main differences being engine and wheel size. Powered by a Honda GX200 engine, the 718 features two working speeds in both directions and a third transport speed in rear-mount “tiller” mode. This gives the operator more options and power over model 710, while still popular as an economical choice among small-garden enthusiasts.

The 718 is equipped to handle garden plots and smaller mowing applications, but is limited in power for larger activities.

  • A fast transport speed to ride your tiller to the garden (requires sulky)
  • Easy-to-engage, shuttle-type reverse
  • Anti-vibe handlebars instantly adjust both vertically and side-to-side
  • Engine: Honda GX200
  • Weight: 215 lbs (with 18” tiller)
  • Working Speeds: 2 forward, 2 reverse
  • Working Wheel Speeds: 0.6 and 1.4 MPH
  • Transport Wheel Speed: 6.8 MPH
  • Standard Wheel Size: 4” x 8”
  • Transmission: All Gear Drive
  • Axle Configuration: Straight Axle
  • Clutch Type: Double Cone, Spring-Loaded

Harvester Model 722

One of BCS’s most popular models, the Harvester 722 is an excellent choice for those property owners who want a combination of performance and versatility and don’t foresee the need for the larger range of attachments powered by the Professional Series models. Built much like the Harvester 718, the 722 has more power with a Honda GX240 engine, two forward and reverse speeds, and an additional third transport speed when in rear-mount attachment mode.

The 722 has the power necessary to attach an array of attachments such as the 26” Rear-Tine Tiller, 45” Sickle Bar Mower, Chipper/Shredder, Log Splitter, Dozer Blade and more. However, like the 718, this model is limited in brush mowing applications due to its lack of a third working speed and Differential Drive.

Note: The overall wheel width of model 722 is 21″, but the inner hubs can be “flipped” inward to reduce the wheel width to 19″ for accommodating the 20″ Rear-Tine Tiller.

  • Easy-to-engage, shuttle-type reverse
  • Anti-vibe handlebars that instantly adjust both vertically and side-to-side
  • A fast transport speed to ride your tiller to the garden (requires Transport Sulky or Utility Trailer)

  • Standard Wheel Size: 4” x 10”
  • Transmission: All Gear Drive
  • Axle Configuration: Straight Axle
  • Clutch Type: Double Cone, Spring-Loaded

Professional Model 732

BCS model 732 is the most economical of the Professional Series, with more features, more horsepower, and more versatility than Harvester models.

Differential Drive gives the operator increased maneuverability by allowing one tractor wheel to turn independently of the other. The Lockout lever on the right handlebar provides instant positive traction when one wheel is spinning in soft soil conditions, on steep slopes, or other problem areas.

The 732 features the same wheel speeds as models 718 and 722, with two forward and reverse speeds and one transport speed in rear-mount “tiller” mode. While the 732’s Honda GX340 engine packs plenty of power to handle all mowing applications, the lack of a third, faster working speed limits its mowing productivity.

  • Differential Drive with Lockout
  • A fast transport speed to ride your tiller to the garden (requires sulky)
  • Easy-to-engage, shuttle-type reverse
  • Anti-vibe handlebars that instantly adjust both vertically and side-to-side
  • Battery not included for electric start tractors.

  • Clutch Type: Double Cone, Spring-Loaded

Professional Model 739 PS

  • Differential Drive with Lockout
  • Three working speeds in both directions

Professional Model 853

The BCS 853 combines the best of both worlds: a third working speed AND a fourth transport speed for even more versatility. Now, owners can utilize the benefits of all BCS implements due to its sufficient horsepower, while also having the option of riding transport attachments like the utility trailer.

The difference between the 852 and 853 is simple: the transport speed can only be applied in rear-mount mode (tiller) on the 853; the transport speed is only available in front-mount (mower) mode on the 852. These are the only BCS tractors offering a transport speed and a third working speed.

In addition to the Differential Drive with Lockout being standard on all BCS Professional Series models, the 853 also features individual wheel brakes for increased maneuverability—especially helpful when making frequent turns.

The 853 comes with a Honda GX390 engine with recoil and electric start options.

For a limited time, model 853 may be offered with 5” x 10” or 5” x 12” wheels as standard.

Professional Model 750 PS

Meet the big boy of the BCS fleet: the PowerSafe 750. It’s the only BCS tractor with the ability to power the large 33” Rear-Tine Tiller, made possible by a heavy-duty cast iron mounting flange for increased strength. The 750 comes with a unique Quick Hitch system for the effortless exchanging of implements.

Designed for the most demanding commercial applications, model 750 is oriented to the tilling needs of commercial market farms and nurseries. The 33” Tiller can be reduced to 27”, and can prepare acres of seedbed in a reasonable length of time and cultivate even more. In addition to its width, the 750’s Tiller is unique due to its easy-to-use depth control rod and insert to store the transport wheel during operation. It also features Differential Drive with Lockout.

Model 750’s gear reduction mechanisms on the wheel axles enable the large 6.5” x 12” wheels to achieve slower ground speeds ideal for both primary and secondary tillage. Conversely, these slower ground speeds reduce the 750’s productivity when mowing.

Optional 76-pound transmission weights specifically made for the 750 can also be easily installed on each side of the transmission.

The 750’s PowerSafe clutch differs from standard models by utilizing a hydro-mechanical, “wet” clutch instead of the spring-loaded, double-cone clutch. This clutch is more difficult to overheat because it’s in an oil bath and cooled by circulated oil instead of air, as on the standard clutch. It’s also better suited for implements requiring higher torque, such as the Flail Mower or Chipper/Shredder. The PowerSafe clutch is longer-lasting and backed by a five-year warranty for non-commercial users. It also gives operators smoother shifting, safer operation, and immediate stoppage when the clutch lever is released.

  • Individual wheel brakes for increased maneuverability.
  • Integrated quick hitch included.
  • Able to power BCS’s largest 33” tiller.
  • Easy-to-use depth control rod on 33” tiller attachment.

Professional Model 852

The BCS 852 combines the best of both worlds: a third working speed AND a fourth transport speed for even more versatility. Now offered with 5×12 wheels!

The difference between the 852 and 853 is simple: the transport speed can only be applied in rear-mount (tiller) mode on the 853; the transport speed is only available in front-mount (mower) mode on the 852. These are the only BCS tractors offering a transport speed and a third working speed. The transport speed disengages the PTO, and is intended to do just as is sounds–transport! Only riding implements (sulkies, Utility Trailer) can be utilized when the transport speed is engaged.

In addition to the Differential Drive with Lockout being standard on all BCS Professional Series models, the 852 features individual wheel brakes for increased maneuverability—especially helpful when making frequent turns.
